About Amy DeCaussin
Hi! I’m Amy, an award-winning artist and content creator in Phoenix, Arizona who uses my whimsical illustrations and animations to inspire fresh perspectives and help connect people more deeply with themselves, one another, and the Earth.
My unique style is eclectic, uncanny, and above all fun, combining vibrant watercolor paintings with cut paper illustrations, dioramas, and stop-motion animation to evoke the beauty of nature and human connection.
My work has allowed me the privilege of working with various types of organizations to create content for them in my signature style - music videos, event promotions, and more. You can learn more about working with me here.
Drawing on my background in marketing, I also offer creative consulting services to my clients to bring their vision to life and spread their message creatively and strategically.

A bit more about me…
I live with my husband, artist Cam DeCaussin, in sunny Phoenix, where we co-own DeCaussin Studios, based in our in-home studio, while raising our young son and two small rescue dogs.
I received her BFA and Minor in Business from Grand Valley State University. I studied art history and photography at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, and video production at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Oxbow Summer School of Art on scholarship. My work received an Addy Award from the American Advertising Awards of West Michigan.
In 2012 my work was featured on MSN Living as one of the top 10 best holiday gifts to give for the season. Upon moving to Phoenix I worked on various projects including developing animation for Arizona State University’s Emerge. I spent a short time in Los Angeles, CA working for Digital Twigs animation studio – during which I illustrated the concept art for Baozou, a production company based in China, establishing the identity of their film division. I also spent an exciting few years with Scottsdale Public Art, managing projects like Canal Convergence overseeing 56 volunteers and helping the event grow to 56,000 attendees.
I worked for over six years as Director of Communications for Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Scottsdale during which I won a Polly Bond Award at the National Episcopal Communicators conference for best concert poster design and led a workshop on digital storytelling for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona.
In 2023, I received “Best Animated Music Video” and “Music Video of the Year” at the Michigan Music Video Awards for “On the Road Again,” created for Djangophonique. My work is currently on exhibit by Scottsdale Public Art at the Civic Center Library in Scottsdale, Arizona with guest curator Cut + Paste Phoenix.
